Columbus, Ohio Core Router change – 7/1 @ 00:00 [REVISED]

On Wednesday evening we will be performing a change in our uplinks at the Columbus datacenter which will cause momentary routing issues. The expected outage duration for this change is only 5 minutes.

Due to issues identified this evening we moved this maintenance up to tonight and worked to complete it in a way that was essentially non-service impacting (seconds of packet loss).  No changes are planned to take place on 7/1 at 00:00 at this time.

An issue has been identified with a card on our core routing in Columbus Ohio. We will be performing emergency maintenance tonight at 0400 EDT to replace the hardware. One of our third party service providers was required to make an emergency hardware upgrade on Saturday, causing network connectivity issues for most of our customers.
While the hardware was changed fairly rapidly, configuration of the hardware took longer than anticipated, causing various lengths of intermittent connectivity issues being reported [...]
