As of 10AM MST February 29th, the ISP with the routing issues outside of our network has been resolved. At this point it appears network activity through that ISP to Alentus (and the rest of their customers) continues to be operating correctly.

As of 7PM MST October 24th, the ISP with the routing issues outside of our network was reported to us as resolved. At this point it appears network activity through that ISP to Alentus (and the rest of their customers) continues to be operating correctly. Therefore given it has been 15 hours since we were informed they believe they fixed their issues, we feel confident in considering this incident closed.
While this ISP routing issue was outside of Alentus and affecting other customers of that ISP, we will be querying their IT management to see what can be done to help prevent such an interruption in the flow to our network in the future.
Although Alentus maintains a multi-homed network with BGP4 and multiple upstream providers, this ISP's routing issues were affecting local Internet traffic of other providers as well. Recently Alentus made arrangements to bring on an additional upstream provider and that connection will be fully available soon. Should something like this ISP issue occur again, Alentus will be in a better position to maintain fast delivery of your web services to the Internet.
